Cheeseburger Pie

I know what you're thinking, "Jess! Where is the healthy recipe?"


I am showing you NOT to judge a book by it's cover. To truly dig deep into the contents to reveal the goodness. Recipe is below and the explanation of it all comes after!



1) Let's start with the ground beef!! This, and all other red meats, must be enjoyed in MODERATION though. The higher your intake is. the greater your chance of increasing the risk of cognitive impairment. But the good stuff is... it can be a good source of essential nutrients like B vitamins, zinc, and selenium. Which are beneficial for brain health and overall well-being.


2) Next up we have ONIONS! I promise, if you do not like onions, that you really can't taste them once they are cooked in with the rest of the ingredients! Onions can positively impact brain health through their nutrient content and antioxidant properties. They are rich in flavenoids like quercetin, which may help protect against age-related cognitive decline, neurodegeneration, and memory loss. Onions also contain vitamins C, folate, and potassium, which are beneficial for overall brain function.


3) I know I've covered salt/sodium before - so I won't again! But know that LOW sodium/salt is essential for brain function.


4) Cheddar cheese offers benefits of brain health with attention in your brain function and reduces the risk of cognitive decline.


5) The one we have all been waiting for! At least I have. The pancake mix! Yes, it’s easy to make in a cinch but look at the ingredients! Flour and leavening ingredients are just fine but then we take a look at the added sugars, trans fat, vegetable oil. So yes this can be good for you - but keep in mind to have this in MODERATION!


6) I feel as though I’ve talked about milk before too; but just in case! It contains choline, vitamin B12, glutathione, calcium & potassium. Individually these all play a crucial role for your brain health. They are essential for brain function, memory,

This was just what I needed! I have all the ingredients which greatly surprises me. I love the layout and always enjoy hearing about ingredients. Finding my own message in your words was such a gift to me too. I remember when I began to awaken inside and the only message I was able to grasp was salt! My health journey started with salt.
