Can I Just Be Tired?

Can I take a second and be real with you?

I’m tired. I’m TIRED.

The fatigue is all day, every day.

I looked up what controls fatigue and the feelings of being tired…the cerebellum AND the brainstem.

I had a bilateral cerebellar stroke and a brainstem stroke so severe they had thought my pons detached.

I can get 9 hours of sleep a night.

I can nap for 2-4 hours each afternoon.

I’m still exhausted.

Caffeine does absolutely nothing for me.

Enough of trying to find earthly rest. The world does not give me rest. But you know who does?

In Matthew 11:28-30 it talks about finding rest.

 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

HE will give us rest. I remember when I was with Jesus, by the stream, I found so much peace and I was well rested overall. Both physically and spiritually.

Which brings me to the rest we will have with our Father in Psalm 23:2-3.

"He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul..."

Oh, that heavenly rest!! Truly, I felt nothing but peace when I was with Jesus.

I invite you to take a moment and find that restful feeling with God. It'll be like nothing you find in this world. HE has you. HE is gentle. HE will give you rest. Be still with God.

I invite you to find rest with God in one of the services I provide. I will email you scripture every single day. We don't have to do a zoom unless you ask for it. I will send you scripture I am led to and with one of my participants I was led to send them a completely different scripture than everyone else. The Lord knows what YOU need.
