Our Continued Work

Wellness Programs
We have given our members a chance to be enrolled in a health & wellness program! We partner with a group who meets virtually and will even send you recordings of videos if you need it. We also get our members hooked up with an adaptable fitness nonprofit opened by a 2 time Paralympian Champion. We are here for you and know how important it is to stay active and keep up with proper nutrition for brain healing!

Medical Equipment
We also get our members medical devices and equipment they need. You just say the word when I ask, "what are your needs?" I will look online, have some talks with you until we figure out the right equipment you need and I will order it and have it sent to YOU!

Brain Injury Book Club
We have connected survivors with book clubs that are exclusively for brain injury survivors. These book clubs are within your area and either meet virtually or in person! If this is something you would be interested let me know so I can include it in my search!

Therapies
We have connected those with music, art, and specialized speech therapies. The music therapy has been a huge hit with our members! We can get you connected with a great group here in Virginia; but we can also get you connected to a wonderful group in your state!

Paratransit Services
We have connected those, who no longer can drive, with paratransit services to assist in taking them to medical appointments and grocery shopping.
Yes, even the most mundane thing can make us feel like $100. You do not realize the freedoms are stripped from you when you can no longer drive.
These services are excellent as it gets those who are unable to drive OUT OF THE HOUSE! Even if it's to an appointment, it gives that sense of dependence. Don't get me started on being able to go to the grocery store! Even if for those few minutes you can feel somewhat "normal" again.

Support Group Connection
We have connected brain injury survivors, and their caregivers, with support groups that meet both in person and online! This is a huge part of what we do. It is critically important to be involved with others who are like YOU. Who understand what daily life is like with a brain injury and who truly "get it".
